Canvas Model
“A business model describes how your company creates, delivers and captures values”. It is very important to take into account the model that your business has, to be clear about what you want to achieve, how to manage your business and lead it.
According to the canvas model, it helps to have an established order and ideas of the areas to develop because it’s a visual model to show a business, such as essential activities, external aspects or things you need to maintain your business; the canvas model is divided into 9 sections. The first section is the key partners, which are external aspects that help to continue supporting your business as partners that are necessary for the business to function, the suppliers, the government and the universities; second is the key activities, are any activities that your business is engaged in for the primary purpose of making a profit for example the marketing, production of a product and excellent suppliers; in third place are the key resources that are things needed to continue with the business like machines, staff, costumer databases; the fourth section that is very important is the value preposition, which helps you analyze what stands out about your business, what makes it different from others such as quality, the service you give to customers, and what it is what makes it unique; the fifth section talks about costumers relationship, which helps to be more clear about what the relationship between the client and the workers is, taking into account that you need to get, keep, and grow customer service; in sixth place are the channels, which is where you specify where you improve the customer experience (physical store, online store); the seventh section is the costumers segments, which specifies to which clients your business is focus on, the location of your clients (worldwide, local), if your clients are women and men;
in eighth place is the cost structure, which are the expenses, how many you are going to earn with what you do in your business, or the savings you can have (sell recycled materials); the last section is about revenue streams, which can be discounts for customers to grow, or use wastes to avoid generating many expenses when making a product or service.
In conclusion, is important to take canvas model into consideration to have an established order of what you want to achieve in your business.
